QNET is ecstatic to announce that QNET has extended its sponsorship of the Confe\u0301de\u0301ration Africaine De Football Club Program for the new football season. The Confe\u0301de\u0301ration Africaine De Football (CAF)<\/a> was founded in 1957 and includes the Total CAF Champions League, an annual club football competition similar to the UEFA Champions League. This is another feather in the QNET Sports Sponsorships<\/a> cap, and we couldn\u2019t be more proud!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The extension will also see QNET as the Official Sponsor of the Total CAF Confederation Cup and the Total CAF Super Cup which includes the winners of the Confederation Cup. This means that QNET will be Official sponsors of the final phase of the Total CAF Champions League scheduled from November 2019 to May 2020. The winner of the tournament earns a berth for the FIFA Club World Cup, a tournament contested between the champion clubs from all six continental confederations.<\/p>\n\n\n

We have also extended our partnership to sponsor the Total CAF Super Cup opposing the winner of the CAF Champions League 2020 to the winner of the CAF Confederation Cup 2020, scheduled on August 2020, and the Total CAF Confederation Cup 2020, scheduled from November 2019 to May 2020. Over 124 matches are held each year across the African continent to determine the Champions Club of Africa. CAF gathers a whopping 54 national football clubs in Africa and organises the most important football events within the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n

The draw for the group stage of the Total CAF Champions League 2019\/20 was conducted earlier this month in Cairo, with interesting pairings setting the tone for the next phase of the competitions. Egyptian legend Ahmed Hassan assisted the draw conducted by CAF Deputy General Secretary, Anthony Baffoe, at the ceremony attended by representatives of the qualified teams. Also, in attendance were CAF First Vice President, Constant Omari, FIFA Secretary-General and General Delegate for Africa, Fatma Samoura and members of the CAF Organising Committee for Interclubs and Club Licensing.<\/p>\n\n\n

Group A<\/strong> – Primeiro de Agosto (Angola), TP Mazembe (DR Congo), Zesco United (Zambia), Zamalek (Egypt)\/Generation Foot (Senegal),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group B<\/strong> – Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia), FC Platinum (Zimbabwe), Al Hilal (Sudan), Al Ahly (Egypt)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group C<\/strong> – USMA (Algeria), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Petro Atletico (Angola), Wydad Athletic Club (Morocco)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group D<\/strong> – Raja Club Athletic (Morocco), JS Kabylie (Algeria), AS Vita (DR Congo), Esperance (Tunisia)<\/p>\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the draw for the Playoffs of the Total CAF Confederation Cup was also conducted. It pitted winning teams from the Second Preliminary Round of the second-tier competition against losing teams from the Second Preliminary Round of the Total CAF Champions League. The first leg matches have been fixed for 27 October 2019 and the return leg (second leg) matches will take place on 3 November 2019, with the winners progressing to the group stage.<\/p>\n\n\n
